City Walk: An Exciting District for MICE

City Walk: An Exciting District for MICE

City Walk is one of Dubai’s newest — and most dynamic — shopping, dining and entertainment districts. As they say, it is where the city gets together.

Enjoy a stroll through its European-style walkways lined with modern cafes, boutiques and adventure zones. As one of Dubai’s most visited districts today, there’s always something cool to see and extraordinary to experience. From water shows, children’s play areas up to kiosks offering Arabic sweets and Turkish ice cream, there simply is never a dull moment at City Walk.

The first time we walked around City Walk, we instantly saw its potential for our MICE programmes. There’s certainly a lot more to experience at City Walk other than its fancy European-themed streets and a multitude of shops. It is also packed with attractions and dining spots any group would enjoy.

Here’s a brief on some City Walk recommendations:

La Ville Hotel & Suites

Boutique elegance awaits you at the brand-new La Ville Hotel & Suites at City Walk Dubai, part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection.

As the first hotel in the neighbourhood, La Ville is a low-rise property with a vibe that is unique, relaxed and refreshing, even though it is located right in the middle of the big city.

Throughout this five-star boutique hotel, open spaces are creatively designed with stylish, iconic architecture. This provides an inviting setting for guests to meet and mingle with their group.

The property’s 156 rooms and suites celebrate relaxed urban luxury through its sophisticated interiors and furnishings combined with contemporary artistic twists.

Dining is a key highlight at La Ville Hotel, with three restaurants, a lobby café and rooftop bar offering surprising cosmopolitan and social experiences. It also has three breakout rooms for smaller meetings or events.

Green Planet

A tropical forest brimming with life in the heart of the city, Green Planet is a bio-dome that takes you on a remarkable nature trip. It recreates an enchanted jungle with over 3,000 plants and animals. It also includes some of the earth’s most fascinating flora and fauna.

Green Planet also houses the world’s largest indoor, man-made life-sustaining tree. This educational and recreational facility is set to raise awareness of the delicate balance of nature and the wonders of one of our world’s oldest living ecosystems.

Although this is not a venue where you can hold events, it is an interesting edutainment stop, where guests get to learn a lot about the planet we live in. On top of that, just having been able to create a living rainforest in the desert (of all places), there’s certainly a lot of science involved in this bio-dome! So, get ready to be amazed.

One of the biggest reasons why City Walk is a favorite hangout spot of Dubai residents is because of its well-curated dining options. Whether you’re looking for a fine dining restaurant, a café or confectioneries, you are spoilt for choice.

Many of the restaurants do not have a license to serve alcohol but there are a few licensed ones and many more that are applying for the permission.

City Walk’s restaurants set the bars high for dining in Dubai. Among the many dining spots offering extraordinary gastronomic experiences, Gulf Dunes recommends these two:

Galvin Restaurant

Galvin Restaurant’s inspiration is drawn from a commitment to ‘Best of British’, infused with a Mediterranean Basin flair. Enjoy an evocative array of Italian, Southern French and North African ‘flavors of the sun’.

Galvin fuses a vibrant restaurant and bar area, creating an elevated dining area and lounge. The space, evoking laid-back glamour, is carefully crafted to spark creativity and conversation.

When it comes to food, expect nothing less than amazing as Galvin is brought to you by Michelin-starred chef brothers Chris and Jeff Galvin.

Toro + KO

Toro + KO Dubai is the wildly successful Spanish tapas restaurant opened by celebrity Chef Ken Oringer. It is an expertly conceptualised high-end Barcelona-style tapas restaurant that serves traditional and modern Spanish-style plates. Everything is made with locally sourced produce, put together and served in a lively, convivial atmosphere.

Gulf Dunes Says …

Both Galvin and Toro + KO can be used exclusively for private functions. The full area of the restaurants is perfect for a group’s dinner and drinks reception. There will even be enough room for entertainment options.

Depending on the size of the group, we can also do an exciting Dine-Around at City Walk. Considering the long list of dining options within City Walk, you are sure to be in for a wonderful night of gastronomic pleasures.
