As of today (May 27th) the gradual re-opening of business activities has commenced including cinemas, entertainment centers and various recreational venues, with new safety measures in place.
Under the new government-issued directives Dubai has taken a big step in the return to normality, and has wisely implemented many safety measures and restrictions to control the spread of coronavirus, ensuring its residents and guests feel safe. Now re-opening:
- Dubai Aquarium
- At The Top (Burj Khalifa)
- Green planet
- Ski Dubai
- Dubai Autodrome
- Dubai Dolphinarium
- Salons / Barbers
To ensure Dubai is at the forefront of the recovery, and best positioned to start welcoming guests back, its guests need to feel safe. Therefore measures like temperature checking, thermal imagery and enhanced sanitization is now the new norm at the entrance of every building. The temperature check produces results in under a second and is minimally intrusive – consisting of a hand-held device positioned near the individual’s head.
Furthermore, masks are compulsory, and the 2-metre social distancing rule is still in effect, with all locations operating at 30-50% capacity, the only exception being wholesale/retail locations like Dubai Mall which is 70%. Alternate seating is also in place. Daily city-wide sterilization is also in place between 11pm-6am with movement restrictions.
With Dubai taking a serious stand on combating the virus, it ensures it is well positioned to allow the MICE and events industry to return to normality soon, where guests can enjoy the fantastic 5-star luxury, incentives, events and conferences that it is famed for.
We look forward to welcoming you back soon!
