New Restaurants to Watch For

New Restaurants to Watch For

Here in Arabia, we dine not just to have a meal but to enjoy an experience. This is why we make sure every group lunch and dinner is beyond the ordinary.

We take time scouring the city, visiting eclectic dining spots here and there—but truth be told, our list of new restaurants to check out only gets longer. There’s another wave of openings happening for the rest of the year and, like always, we are super excited!

Here are seven to note:

1. The Trophy Room (Opening this month, Fairmont Dubai)

Sports fans, rejoice! The Trophy Room is a 75-seater sports bar with 11 screens, set to be the first of its kind in the city. What makes its special? It gives guests the opportunity to listen to the sports match commentary in various languages through their own head phones!

If you’re not that enthusiastic about sports, there’s still something for you: A set menu of edible gold bites (on top of its classic pub food). Can’t wait to try!

2. STK, Downtown (Opening this month, The Address Downtown Dubai Hotel)

The popular American steakhouse STK is opening its second outlet in Dubai (the first is at Rixos Premium and another will be opened in Abu Dhabi). For this new venue, it showcases the world-famous cityscape of Downtown Dubai with a 100-seat garden terrace overlooking the Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Fountain. Its indoor area, on the other hand, can seat up to 240.

STK Downtown will feature the brand’s signature menu that includes an oyster bar, seafood platters, and made-to-order steaks that can be enjoyed amidst the upscale New York-styled interior décor it has been known for.

3. Geisha House (Late 2018, InterContinental Dubai Marina)

Joining the growing selection of top-notch Japanese restaurants in Dubai, the Hollywood favourite Geisha House is setting shop in the city. As it opens later in the year, Dubai diners are in for an experience of 1920s Kyoto culture combined with futuristic 2050 Tokyo – from the food to the interiors and ambiance.

4. Neos (Summer 2018, The Address Downtown Dubai Hotel)

Can’t get enough of Dubai’s skyline? Reopening this summer as part of the extensive Address Downtown refurbishments, Neos is perched on the 63rd floor, complete with its floor-to-ceiling windows.

5. Todd English Food Hall (September 2018, Fashion Avenue Dubai Mall)

This super-sized venue by American chef Todd English covers an imprssive 12,000 square feet! Twelve open kitchens will be up, which enables guests to see their dishes (an international array of gourmet food) cooked before their eyes.

This food hall is just the third of its kind—with the first being in New York and the second in Manila.

6. Dolce Sky (September 2018, The Address Boulevard)

This dining spot is yet another one perched so high up in the sky. Set to occupy the 70th and 71st floor of The Address Boulevard, Dolce Sky will be home to a bar and outdoor rooftop terraces, French restaurant La Vie, Japanese spot Takumi and Ellecti Lounge, a private, members-only space.

7. MasterChef the TV experience (Late 2018, Wyndham West bay Dubai Marina)

Ever wonder what it’s like to be on MasterChef? This restaurant is set to give guests the entire experience, without time and competition pressure but with the amazing original dishes that the show’s champions and contestants have produced. Certainly, the interiors will be inspired by the MasterChef TV set.
